Fortnite Battle Pass For Season 3 Revealed, Introduces New Cosmetic Types

Specifically, it's shared the improvements to building that it's making for Battle Royale and Save the World, including some new options that should create a more pleasant experience all around.

The more you play Fortnite, the more tiers you'll unlock, which in turn unlocks various outfits, pickaxes, emotes, gliders, back blings, skydiving FX trails, loading screens, banners and emoticons, of which there are more than ever in the latest Battle Pass. With the current season quickly coming to a close, Epic has revealed some changes coming with the Season 3 pass.

However, in just under 24 hours fans of the game should have a brand new Season to get stuck into and more rewards to build towards with the updated Season 3 Battle Pass. This new challenge system will ask you to complete four out of seven offered quests in order to unlock the full rewards for that week. Single tiers are also available for 150 V-Bucks each. As Polygon highlights, you'll need to spend around $150 if you want everything without having to play at all.

"This new, exciting weapon that is coming to "Fortnite: "Battle Royale" is the Desert Eagle but it is actually under the name "#Hand Cannon" in the game.

It's worth reiterating that everything in the Battle Pass is purely cosmetic and won't have any impact at all on your in-game performance (no pay-to-win here).

The Fortnite season 3 release date is Thursday February 22 2018, and the end date is Monday April 30 2018.

All that we know so far is that the game will be transitioning from a medieval theme to more of a space age theme.

In an official announcement, Epic Games noted that it takes user feedback seriously and uses them as the basis for any game development.

You can grab the Battle Pass for Season 3 for 950 V-Bucks (about $10), or catch the new Battle Bundle which gives you the Battle Pass for Season 3, and 2800 V-Bucks at a 40% discount.

However, this release got pushed back by a day - meaning Fortnite season 3 will launch on the day Epic Games usually rolls out its updates.
