Cristiano Ronaldo key for Real Madrid against Paris Saint-Germain: David Beckham

Cristiano Ronaldo along with Lionel Messi is one of the two best players of this generation. If Diario Gol are to be believed, he is clearly not content with the attitudes of his teammates at Los Blancos.

FC Bayern München manager Jupp Heynckes has backed Real Madrid to get past Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, despite the Spanish side's poor form.

After scoring in PSG's 3-0 Ligue 1 win away at Lille last Saturday from a free kick, Neymar has notched up 520 career matches already - 437 at club level and 83 internationally, while Ronaldo was one month shy of his 27th birthday by the time he hit the same tally. In fact, he's only lagging behind Messi's total of club goals, having scored 268 to Messi's 313.

After winning the Ballon d'Or and the Champions League trophy, he chose to take on a new challenge - to play in the ranks of the world's most glorious club: Real Madrid.

Messi famously came on in a last-16 Champions league tie, with an injury to his leg back in 2013 to inspire Barcelona's comeback against PSG.

"The little difference between them is that Messi, with the ball, one on one, or even against two, is hard to stop".

Success in 2018 will not only be defined by what happens with PSG, though, there is also the World Cup with Brazil in Russian Federation this summer.

PSG are set to take on Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League and ahead of the big game, the war of words that began with Real Madrid's open invitation to Neymar, looks set to continue. The five-time World Champion topped the group comfortably while losing just once during the qualification.
