The Kansas State University online Professional Master of Business Administration program, or PMBA, is being ranked as the best in Kansas and the 36th best in the United States, according to U.S. News and World Report's 2018 Best Online MBA Programs rankings. Throughout both undergraduate and graduate studies, a couple Philly-area schools ranked among the best.
"The Bachelor of Arts Completion Program at University College offers post-traditional students an opportunity to reach their personal and professional goals with an unbelievable high-quality academic experience coupled with a student-focused support system", said Dr. Michelle Kruse-Crocker, academic director for the Bachelor of Arts Completion Program.
With Temple at No. 1 for online MBA programs, Villanova University claimed the top spot among online, non-MBA business programs.
Indiana University Bloomington ranks the highest among Indiana institutions, tying for second alongside Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
UF Online was ranked No. 12 based on the following factors: student engagement (35 percent); student services and technology (25 percent); faculty credentials and training (20 percent); and peer reputation (20 percent). About 1,500 online programs were considered over all.
The U.S. News Online College Compare allows for a side-by-side comparison of programs on factors including cost, academics and student body demographics. The program has steadily moved up in the rankings over the past three years, going from unranked in 2015, to 95th in 2016, and 71st in 2017.
The program represents an important joint effort between the two colleges, said Glenda Scales, associate dean for global engagement; chief technology officer; and director of engineering online programs at Virginia Tech.
For one of the "Best Online Education Programs" for graduate degrees, UNF also tied with 10 other universities at No. 115. Its award-winning Malcolm Baldrige School of Business programs are nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Also offered online are the Master of Arts in exceptional child education; Master of Arts in Teaching in exceptional education; Master of Business Administration in general management, health administration and sport management; and the Master of Public Administration. "This honor is a testament to the years of hard work by our unbelievable team of support staff, faculty, and administrators to ensure a transformational, virtual experience for our online students".
