Samsung's Notebook 9 Series Gets Spec Bump Ahead of CES 2018

It thus makes ideal sense for the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 (2018) to be unveiled today ahead of commercial launches in Korea later this same month, followed by USA expansions in the first quarter of the new year.

There's the new Notebook 9 Pen which is a 13.3-inch 2-in-1 notebook.

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pen offers flexibility and portability with the convertible hinge and S Pen.

The two regular laptops will have a 75Wh battery, while the Notebook 9 Pen will have a 39Wh battery. Further, the laptop would include a HDMI port, a single USB-C port and a regular USB port in addition to the microSD storage and a Windows Hello camera to login Windows 10 with face authentication.

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and all three Notebook 9 (2018) versions rock "Metal12" premium magnesium aluminum designs with razor-thin screen bezels and snazzy color options including Light Titan, Titan Silver and Crush White. "It features a 13.3" Samsung RealView touch-enabled display with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and 95% sRGB coverage. Samsung hasn't revealed pricing yet, but the company should share more info on that at CES 2018.

The Notebook 9 and Notebook 9 Pen will be available this month in Korea, and the first quarter of 2018 in the United States. The devices run on the 8 generation Intel Core i7 processor and Samsung Dual Channel Memory to handle multiple jobs, viewing and rendering high-quality graphics without compromising on the performance or speed.

Introducing a built-in stylus pen, Samsung is ready to compete with the Surface devices. The 15-inch USB-C port will support Thunderbolt 3, and there's also an additional USB 2.0 port on the larger model. It's a 2-in-1 PC that comes with the same Metal12 chassis that's on the Notebook 9 (2018).

As the name suggests, it comes with an S Pen which lets users write, sketch, paint and more on the device.

Like the other two Notebook 9 models, this also being powered by the 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and can be configured to come with up to 16GB of RAM.

Samsung has announced the upgraded version of the Notebook 9 and the new Notebook 9 Pen. The notebook also supports a 720p HD web camera and it includes a fingerprint scanner. Usually, such announcements take place at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) during January in Las Vegas.
