Huawei Announces The Honor View 10 For India

During a media event today, Huawei's sub-brand Honor launched its latest mid-ranger, the Honor 7X on the Western market. Honor might roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update to the 7X in early 2018.

Honor says that the V10 will be released in the U.S., as well as some other major markets like United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain on January 8, 2018. It comes in Gold, Aurora Blue and Black color options.

Design-wise, all the three have a metal backplate and while they offer a similar build quality, the arrangement of the cameras on the back make them look different.

In addition to the View 10, Honor also announced the more affordable Honor 7X, which has a 5.93-inch screen with an 18:9 ratio and an edge-to-edge screen. Below the display, you'll find a fingerprint sensor, seemingly shoehorned into the bottom bezel with barely enough space.

The new Kirin 970 features an octa-core ARM Cortex CPU and a Mali-G72 12-core GPU. It has 4 x 2.4 GHz A73+ 4 x 1.8 GHz A53 10nm processor + i7 co-processor. There are no stereo speakers or other shenanigans, but at half the price of the 10 Pro, the V10 maybe one of the best value for money phones you will be able to get in the USA next month, when the phone will be released at this side of the pond. Storage is also expandable up to 256GB. The optics feature of this smartphone includes a dual-lens camera of 16MP and 2MP sensor at the rear and an 8MP sensor in the front. There is also portrait mode on the front-facing camera, but it's not as intense as the rear camera, since the front-facing camera is doing it all with software. The power requirements of the handset are fulfilled by a beefy 3,750mAh battery, which supports quick charging.

The Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 skinned on top. The phone will be available starting December 7th at 12PM and Honor India Store.

Honor View 10 marks the beginning of a new AI era, enabling a productive, entertaining and fun lifestyle for users. This is something that was previously on the Huawei phones that have Leica-branded cameras, so this is a good feature to bring to the Honor 7X. The display also has a 2.5D curved glass on top. The front camera is a 13MP sensor. It will be available in 128GB storage, 6 GB RAM variant and a 64 GB storage 4/6 GB RAM variant.

One nice touch is the arrival of "Supercharge", which will charge the battery to 50 per cent in 30 minutes.
