Talking about the upcoming Zenfone Max Plus (M1) smartphone, ASUS has incorporated a similar design language alike to its Pegasus 4S (which is exclusive in China). The phone boasts of a 5.7-inch FHD+ full screen 2.5D curved glass display that has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a screen to body ratio of 80%. It is expected that the device will soon be announced in other markets.
Accompanying the SoC is 2GB and 3GB of RAM, and the device comes with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) comes equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back which is a combination of a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and an 8MP wide-angle lens with 120-degree field-of-view.
In terms of performance, the Zenfone Max Plus (M1) is powered by a 1.5GHz octa core MediaTek MT6750T processor clubbed with Mali-T860 GPU. The storage is expandable up to 256GB with microSD. The handset also features a fingerprint scanner and would come in Black Wave, Azure Silvery, and Sunny Golden colored options. As the name suggests, the phone joins its battery phone series Max and comes with large 4130 mAh battery. Up front, Asus has added an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is the same SoC that powers the ZenFone 3S Max smartphone that was launched earlier this year.
The Taiwanese manufacturer has not revealed the price and availability of the Zenfone Max Plus (M1) as yet. Connectivity options on the device include dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System. Some of the key highlights of this smartphone are 18:9 minimal bezel display, dual rear camera and 4,130mAh battery.
