As the searches were intensified, the militants present in the area fired volley of bullets towards the forces triggering an encounter, " said a senior police official.
Three militants and an Army jawan were killed and a civilian injured in a fire fight in Aglar Kandi village of Jammu and Kashmir's southern Pulwama district on Monday evening. The injured cops were identified as Abdul Salam and Munir Ahmad.

Following the incident, civilian was shifted to the local hospital. Security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in the Kandi belt of Aglar area in Pulwama district following information about the presence of some militants.
Meanwhile, Internet services have been snapped in Pulwama district.
Two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness during an encounter that ensued at Samboora in Pulwama on November 2. The gunfight was going on when the reports last came in.
