Arriving with the launch of Kobolds & Catacombs, Dungeon Runs will send Hearthstone players on challenging adventures inspired by the classic fantasy dungeon crawl.
Focusing on loot and the idea of dungeon exploring, the 135-card set will bring some incredible cards to the game, with just a few revealed so far. When the Treasure Chest is broken, you get one of four treasures.
"It's essentially a Hearthstone roguelike and it's our most replayable single-player content ever", Brode explained.
First, there's Marin the Fox, a legendary card that every player will receive for free as long as they do not forget to log in to Hearthstone on Monday, Nov. 6. Rin, the First Disciple is potentially the most powerful card in Hearthstone, if not any CCG, because she gives players a set of Seal cards that summon demons. Blizzard also announced that players can obtain treasures in the Dungeon Run that contains powerful cards. When you "recruit", you pull a minion straight from your deck and put it on the battlefield.More news: United States soldier branded 'traitor' by Trump spared prison time for Afghanistan desertion
New cards aren't the only additions to Kobolds & Catacombs; the expansion will also introduce the Dungeon Run, a special rogue-like single-player game mode that tasks players with fighting random boss monsters with limited decks. Those daring enough to courageous the hazards and monstrosities of this subterranean realm will have ample chance to stuff their bags with awe-inspiring treasures in the form of 135 wondrous new cards. The Priest weapon was revealed to be called "Dragonsoul" that summons a 5/5 dragon for every three spells cast.
Cards shown off include Marin the Fox, a character who has a chest filled with "crazy cards" like one that will fill your hand with all of the next card you draw. You take a class, but get a random 10 cards for that hero, and more as you beat each encounter.
Brode also revealed a new keyword for the expansion: Recruit.
The Kobolds And Catacombs expansion will be released in December. Intrepid adventurers will also be able to arm themselves with one of nine new class-specific Legendary Weapons!
