Joe Gomez, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tammy Abraham receive first England senior call-ups

Abraham, who is on loan at Swansea, received his first call-up along with his Chelsea club-mate Ruben Loftus-Cheek, now on loan at Crystal Palace, and Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.

England face world champions Germany first on Friday, November 10, before the 2014 hosts Brazil visit on November 14.

Abraham is joined by fellow-Chelsea loanee and now England team-mate, 21-year-old midfielder Loftus-Cheek, who has made six league appearances for Crystal Palace this season.

"He's had an opportunity, played games, and obviously shown enough to get a first call-up".

"If I'm asking club managers to be courageous and pick young players, I think I've got to do the same", England manager Gareth Southgate told journalists at a Wembley press conference.

United's Ashley Young, Tottenham's Danny Rose and Leicester's Jamie Vardy all return ahead of the games at Wembley.

"We have some injuries, but the players who are fit are well capable of putting a good performance in on Saturday". I think it's a role he can perform - left or right - very well.

Southgate said he resisted the temptation to experiment while World Cup qualification was still uncertain but, with a place at next summer's tournament now assured, he has shuffled his pack.

Dunk, 25, and March, 23, have earned plaudits following Brighton's impressive start to the Premier League season.

"It's a pleasant surprise for us to see someone who we have brought in and who has done well rewarded with his first call-up at that level", said Clement.

With his deadline day switch from Arsenal to Liverpool yet to yield a full top flight debut for his new club, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlainis is dropped as is his Reds compatriot Daniel Sturridge.

"He got a lovely assist against Arsenal".
