The Google Home Mini is mostly fabric covered, and features four LED lights.
The day has arrived, Google has announced the second generation Pixel devices, but starting off with Google Home Mini and Google Home Max announcements and that was pretty much expected along with the two Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones.
The Google Home Mini is a sleek design with rounded corners to make it look like an ornament and seemingly integrate into a room.
The Mini comes in three colors - Chalk, Charcoal & Coral and is priced at $49, roughly the same price as Amazon's Echo Dot, which incidentally made its India debut earlier today. The company detailed its previously released Voice Match feature that enables customers to personalize who is interacting with the Google Home and Google Home Mini at any given time. The Max will likely be bass heavy, too, with two 4.5in woofers inside, along with two 0.7in tweeters. Smart Sound will also be able to automatically increase or lower the volume of the Home Max based on the ambient sound in the room.
In addition to announcing the Google Home Mini during its press event, Google has also introduced the Google Home Max. The Max can accept input as a Google Cast target, over Bluetooth, or by using the 3.5-mm auxilliary input.
Available in two different colors, the Maxi will start preorders on November 13. With a single command, you can control multiple smart home devices plus get information you need in the moment. The free and paid versions of the popular streaming service Spotify are both supported and a 12-month subscription to YouTube Red comes included with the purchase of the Max.
The HomePod offers a similar experience for $50 less and arrives in December.
